Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of life satisfaction in people of late adulthood. The empirical study involved 44 respondents aged 58-75 years living in Surgut and Surgutskiy municipal district. A questionnaire for determination of well-being economic components (by T.V. Drobysheva), “Life satisfac tion index” adapted by N.V. Panina and “Scale of subjective wellbeing” adapted by M.V. Sokolova were used in the article. Descriptive statistics and a factor analysis were used as statistical methods. The results of the study showed that 95% of respondents demonstrated an average level of mental well-being and life satisfaction was at medium and low levels. Respondents with the low level of life satisfaction, unlike those with the average level, were characterized by differentiation of economic and psychological components of life satisfaction. Involvement of respondents of the studied age into professional activity contributed to a decrease in life satisfaction. It was assumed that this fact was due to a number of factors: dissatisfaction with
work, a level of conflict, psychological atmosphere among employees, the disparity between the level of knowledge and the respondents demand. The material standing was a significant factor in assessment of life satisfaction, but in late adulthood it was not determinant.

Abstract

In the article, the results of the study, making the need of the olympic culture development in future physical culture and sport specialists during the educational process at higher education institutions actual, are presented. The results were obtained using: the theoretical analysis and systematization of scientific works; the analysis of federal state educational standards of higher education for undergraduate and graduate levels in "Physical culture and sport"; the analysis of the results of a specific sociological study, in which 2,838 students from 28 higher education institutions of the Russian Federation took part. It is found out that changes in the society find their way into the Olympic sport, which is increasingly commercialized and dehumanized under the influence of external conditions. This leads to a decrease in its humanistic orientation and opportunities for effective socialization and comprehensive development of the modern youth. In this regard, the issue of a wider spread of Olympism and the Olympic movement principles and values becomes more actual, especially among the younger generation. The key role in this process belongs to physical culture and sport specialists who should not only form a system of knowledge in the field of history of the Olympic Games and the Olympic Charter though their direct interaction with pupils, but also promote the youth’s following such principles and values in their every-day behavior both in sport and in real life. All the foregoing is possible in case of development of the Olympic culture among the students of physical education, which will manifest itself in the readiness to promote the fundamental values and principles of Olympism and the Olympic movement.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify opportunities for the use of modern digital technologies in physical education of undergraduate students. A theoretical analysis of publications devoted to different aspects of use of digital technologies in physical education of undergraduate students was carried out at the first stage of the study. The scientific journals “Teoriia i praktika fizicheskoi kultury” and “Fizicheskaia kultura: vospitanie, obrazovanie, trenirovka” for the years 2020–2021 were the base of the study. At the second stage, a sociological survey was conducted among the first-year students of Surgut State University. The survey was carried out in order to determine the students' attitude to the use of mobile applications and electronic educational resources in physical education. Based on the theoretical analysis of publications on the studied subject area, the main types of digital technologies used in physical education of students were identified. These included: corporate webplatforms, electronic libraries, software complexes for studying both the functional status and physical fitness, videoconference means, google-forms, mobile applications, hardware and software complexes. The results of the sociological survey showed that the majority of students did not use sports applications for self-organization of training activities. Neither did they express a desire to use digital technologies for additional physical and sports activities in the distance learning format. Students trusted training programmes found in the Internet. At the same time, they did not have sufficient knowledge and experience in physical exercise techniques performance, which could lead to injuries. In this regard, the author pointed out the need to improve the efficiency of pedagogical management and control of physical education at higher education institutions through the use of digital technologies, both in full-time and distance learning formats. In this regard, the research in the field of physical education under the conditions of fundamental education digital transformation and related to the peculiarities of self-organization of the students’ training activity became of the current interest.
