Abstract

The article dwells on the specifics of Surgut State University formation. Public opinion of the city residents, which contributed to its formation, is analyzed. The article discloses the content of the discourse, which took place between the city authorities and the city-formation organizations in relation to the model of the university, and presents the democratic solution of the issue.
The work expands on the part of mind sports, held in Surgut in the 1980s–1990s, and the role of Georgy Shchedrovitsky, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, in the methodological justification of the need for the university center of the system of education and the socio-cultural environment of the city. Special attention is paid to the significant role of Georgy Nazin, the first Rector of Surgut State University, in its establishment.

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to characterize the ways of creation of educational environment that allows students to develop their skills in project-based activities and strengthen traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in them by the means of mentorship. The main tasks of the study were the following: to give a more exact definition to the concept of “pedagogical conditions”; to look into the mentoring experience in higher education; to analyze projects and determine perspectives for mentorship through the example of socially oriented projects; to characterize organizational and pedagogical conditions that allow developing skills in project-based activities and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in students.

Abstract

Changing living conditions require review of working programs in the system of higher education. Training of highly qualified professionals based on the latest achievements of science and technology, cultural and socio-economic development is one of the main goals of higher education institutions. Students’ poor awareness of the close relationship between human activity and the state of environmental components causes depletion and pollution of natural resources, and leads to the loss of biodiversity. In this regard, the purpose of the study was to identify the efficiency of the project method in greening of the students’ professional training and the impact of the project method on development of the students’ green-thinking. The conducted research was targeted at stimulating students' interest in settling environmental issues through project-based activities that provide for the development of skills to practically apply the knowledge gained during the project development. The article is intended for the pedagogical community and students in order to circulate a ready-made project solution for the elimination of ecological illiteracy and improvement of sanitation conditions in living quarters. The importance of the work is due to the study outcomes, that allow us to claim the efficiency of using project management as a basis for development of students’ green-thinking.

Abstract

Based on the studied material the authors have identified the principles representing approaches to civic education and characterizing conditions that ensure the process efficiency. The purpose of the article is to consider the contradictions, patterns and principles of civic education in the educational process, to determine the pedagogical conditions and current promising trends. Comparative analysis of his-torical, sociological, political, psychological and pedagogical literature on the studied issue, generalization and systematization of theory are the main research methods. They are both theoretical (analysis, systemati-zation, generalization) and empirical (questionnaires, testing). Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, demonstrating students' attitude to “blind” or “constructive” patriotism, the students developed and implemented projects aimed at development of “construc-tive” patriotism, community and civic involvement. The use of theoretical methods revealed the contradictions and issues of the youth civic consciousness development, being one of the socially important national goals. The use of empirical methods of research allowed the authors to reveal certain issues in this area in order to further correct the educational process at institutions of higher education.

Abstract

The article considers the phenomenon of “filter bubbles” as the result of creation of a personal information field that insulates users from new information and limits it to their past click-behavior and search history. Consequently, the users obtain much less information that disagrees with their viewpoints and become intellectually isolated and dependent on other opinions. The modern youth is most susceptible to this effect, which makes them the object of information and psychological warfare. The socio-political category of “information and psychological warfare” is considered as click-behavior pressure put on youth consciousness for demoralization purposes through media. The Internet made it possible to synthesize modern psycho and information technologies, thus affecting unconscious human behavior. The article considers the place and role of “filter bubbles” in the modern information and psychological warfare, technologies of ideological, information and psychological as well as cultural influence on the younger generation. The mechanisms of changing youth consciousness through the use of network-centric technologies with manipulative and fake content are given evidence-based descriptions.

Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the fact that childhood is an important period when the groundwork for further personality development is laid and the main trends of such development are de-termined. Over-the-top aggressiveness is one of the main problems at this age. Child psychologists highlight the importance and complexity of the problem. The spread of violence among children is a concern to parents and professionals. The purpose of the article is to show the results of studying aggressiveness manifestation in senior preschool children. Theoretical approaches to the concept of child aggressiveness, its signs and reasons of manifestation in senior preschool children were analyzed by the authors. The study involved senior pre-school children. Psychological methods were used to achieve the set goals and objectives of the study. To assess the objectivity of the obtained results, methods of mathematical statistics were applied. Criteria and indicators of aggressiveness manifestation were specified. Based on the obtained results it is proved that there are different forms of aggressiveness manifestation in children. The article is intended for educational psychologists, preschool teachers and professionals interested in child aggressiveness manifestation.

Abstract

The article characterizes interaction areas of school psychologists and teachers when implementing creative project-based activities. The emphasis is placed on the need of training educational psychologists to be experts in characterizing the ways teaching, focused on the achievements of the modern educational psychology, is organized. There are presented the kinds of cooperation at all stages of the project-based strategy, focused on the support of teachers as active participants of programming and scenario planning of educational and bringing-up situations, responding to the principles of developmental teaching.

Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the need of finding the ways to involve students in training and further passing GTO standards’ tests. The results of the survey, held among 1–3 year students of Surgut State University, concerning their individual readiness to pass GTO standards’ tests are presented by the authors in the article.
The results of the survey make development of training modules for specific GTO tests and their implementation at PE lessons actual. In addition, works for promotion of GTO complex among the youth are proved to be important.

Abstract

The article studies recreational needs and determines the most preferred active and passive forms of recreational activities of full and part-time students of a northern university.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the recreational needs of full and part-time students of the northern university (through the example of Surgut State University) engaged in physical activities.
The study involved 104 full-time students and 93 part-time students. Based on the results of the analysis of the students’ recreational needs and taking into account the most preferred types of recreational activities, practical recommendations were elaborated together with a number of general recommendations, which were given to the students.
